Double Decker "Wedding Cake" rim assembly is always a pleasant visual
Original Mute and Armrest
No refinish or replating has been done on the instrument
Plating is almost all worn off
That is common, it was gold right on to the brass
neck angle adjuster between heel and rim
Peghead inlay VG
3 Page "8" tuners with Catalin buttons, one Grover pancake with
creme button
one additional Page in the case with a celluloid button and a bright
gold plating
Bottom trim on the rim is damaged, glue has release and it has broken
in several places, and the marquetry is loose as well.
All repairable all pieces present
No cracking on resonator back or sidewall, thats good
No missing marquetry
Looks like maybe Ser# 318, I'll have to clean that up a bit to read
it
Typical checking of old finish
Laminates are in good condition
Instrument would benefit from a standard restoration with plating
if it is to be a looker/ player, or repaired as needed leaving things
original, add calfskin head and make it a collector/ player
Fingerboard and inlay VG, frets fair, need leveling or replacement
if too low
No heel crack
Good gravings in the pearl
