Much like the metal body version, the wood body Triolian has a single cone resonator, round shoulder, upper F-holes, bound single layer fingerboard, dot fingerboard inlays, 12 frets clear of the body.
In shop for New Cone, Bridge,Cover, Tailpiece and tuners
I intend to make it playable for a player,
not restored for a collector.

Installed new 4:1 geared tuners
New 9 -1/2" cone
New Biscuit bridge
National Tailpiece
Strung in CD-octave DA
National is making me a coverplate that will
fit this model, as well as a logo decal for the peghead.
Then if it is still here, i will refinish it and replate the metal
pieces.
The tone is bright, clear, and clean all up and down
the board.
2 coats of sealer added
Edge fade complete, and adding more clear.
I will refinish one section at a time on this instrument, time permitting.
Top ,Sides and neck sanded and ready to stain
Reddish brown, and I will do the Medium brown on the edges again
First coats of sealer applied
Finish work is complete, and the front has been 'distressed", to
obtain a played upon look
Coverplate and logo decal arrived, its perfect fit, and matches
original screw pattern.
SWEET!
I will put it all together and check playability before continuing
the distressing.
Biscuit trimmed to fit
Bridge coverplate installed
New logo installed, correct for the period
I still have only the modified tailpiece which works fine, and I
will use it until I find another original or reproduction.
