Replace neck

I picked up a couple of Frieght damaged instruments from Mike because I wanted to end up with one of these well made guitars for myself, and in the mean time try to learn a little about Guitar work.
We are no longer able to acquire these, and I like them
I do not plan to show every step, since nothing I am doing is traditional repair work
Im just gonna make the damn things play again.

These are not dovetailed in, so cannot be steamed apart
I will have to score the finish line and chisel out the heel.

The joint goes well up into the body

This is the basic shape of what is up in the body so I know what I am up against
It is just how much glue is holding th old one in.

After cutting off the fingerboard and getting to the original joinery
I then was able to hammer and chisel out the rest without too much effort.

The replacement neck had a wierd heelcut so I built it up with rosewood to get the neck angle I needed.
its for me anyway, as long as it is playable Im happy

Shaded the neck, and starting with some clear in the repair areas

Good enough match for me

Ready to buff

It's lined up well, tailpiece and bridge line up as they should
Left the peghead plain black with just the binding for hilites

Strung to pitch, plays well, no buzzes
Iwill tweak it some, then put it to use
I should do better on the second one, but this one is adequate for my needs or a nice Archtop Electric tenor for a player.
