When I was growing up,the Stromberg Deluxe was the most talked about instrument in our household.
Since my Dad and Grandad played nearly every new Stromberg instrument,at least the Banjos and Guitars, they knew that Elmer had a winner with the Deluxe.
My Granpa played Stromberg banjos throughout his career.
My Dad started playing banjo at the age of seven and was in an orchestra alongside my Granpa by the age of nine.
He started on a Slingerland Maybell (pictured on Family Gallery page) next to my Granpa's Deluxe.
I wish I could find it,as he sold it during some lean times.
I purchased this from a gentleman that listened to my pleas, and begging, and decided that I had enough family heritage to purloin it from him,and I was thankful to be able to get it into my collection.
Thank you , Johnnie Di
