Vega always had a makers mark in pencil here:

Dowel glued and stained, having a look.


Assembling rim.



The new look.

Low action, VG downforce.




Adding a new heel cap

Head bearing is bedded into the rim.

Shaping the insets to be more "Vega"

Orig. dowel to be used.


Starting the tenon hole.


I will shape the truss cover like Vega

Installed orig. Elton pegs and armrest,


Ready to setup.

Setup on GHS lights





Finish will be overcoated with lacquer.

Out with the GT Logo


New rim finish to match neck.

Time to set the dowel.

That is my depth needed.


Removing rust from un-plated hooks.

Modern 5th peg with vintage button.


Stripping resonator.

27/32" bridge, Vintage No-Knot tailpiece.
