Repair broken head stock

Spectacular Pearl Work. Abalone /White MOP/Engraved
Previous repair attempt by guitar shop - failed.
Co-rods are nickel plated
This is single stage epoxy, no shear strength.
Multi-ply rim showing some de-laminations.
Possibly an upgraded 70-80s RB-250.
Tip of Truss cover broken off.
Truss is locked with epoxy, I will attempt to free it.
Repair sequence
All epoxy must be removed.
Now for the other side.
After curing and blending, light finish sprayed to get a look.
Finding the breal point, and adding 1/16 brass rod to span the break.
Beginning to re-lay MOP
Not bad, all things considered.
Now to add 2 ins through the volute.
Wood flour.
Final cleaning with acetone.
Mixing in some wood flour to thicken the mix, fill the voids. Yellow glue will be used.
Time to remove some MOP
I repearted that on the treble side, pic did not come out.
I had to make a few small pieces that were crumbled. Binding was re-created.
Board cleaned and oiled, engraving lines filled.
They will be at this angle on both sides.
Touch of mahogany dye, now for final coats.
Truss now will adjust again.
Teflon dam as I fill a small void in peg hole.
After b edding in wood flour, dyed.
Now to repair truss cover.
