Short Scale Gibson Style
5 string banjo made up of decent parts that I had lying around my workshop. Nothing is rare, or "pre-war" about it other than it is similar in the style of a Gibson Mastertone.
Just a player.
The neck is rather thick, Maker unknown. Good for big hands, no adjustable truss.
I added finish to the parts, Faux (Painted) peg head binding . Cut some bowtie style inlay. 3 ply rim Tube and plate flange.
Added geared pegs and side markers
No full tone ring, just a nickel plated brass skirt as the bearing edge.
A flat head ring could easily be fitted with skills.
I just put it together as a lighter weight player.
Plenty of power for what it is.
