11"x 5/8" rim
22 bracket

Diamond flange
1/2" tube tone ring
2 piece armrest
Repair as needed for conversion to 5 string
INITIAL PICS
Hole in resonator will be plugged
Repairs
Beginning refinish after plugging
Moving along, hardware clean
Vintage REMO head
Ready for a neck
I will use fine wood flour and CA
Holes in rim need plugging
All sealed, ready for re-drill
Rare to see a 2 pc. armrest on a 22 bracket shoe rim
Plugged hole shown, looks like a small knot now.
Neck work
Repro neck I have had a while, from some estate sale.
Mahogany, peghead shape as one of the 20s Gibson shapes but not exact.
Peg holes already drilled, no room for a logo.
I added a Gibson style shell veneer "onlay" to the center.
Added geared pegs,. side dots, finish.

I used a heavy brass co-rod, and top lag is nutted.
Making the weight up of 2 rods for mass.
It is cut for OPF but I will use it on this plate flange rim with no alterations to heel cut.
If me, or someone wanted to change the peghead shape, inlay, that is normal Luthier work.
I am just adding a neck with a similar finish to a rim.
Someone had already overlayed the reverse of peghead.
Truss pocket is non standard, will need 3 screw cover.
Finish match completed.
Ready to setup
Nice OPF heel cut
Heavy c0-rod, adjustable
That is a shell veneer "onlay". Nicely made.
5/8" bridge, Kirshner style long tailpiece, brass armrest.
Fingerboard straight, work looks good.
Fabricating a truss cover.
Good neck elevation and downforce.
Thanks for looking and sharing,
